What will be the roadmap for Lemon Mobiles?
We have recently revamped the brand in line up with our next growth story in Indian market. With focus on aggressive business growth, we have introduced new brand logo. The new brand identity stands on two pillars – ‘trust and companionship’. Highlighting the same, our new tagline- “Bharose ka saath”, will be amplified further through various marketing initiatives. We have also planned to set up a new manufacturing unit and R&D center to offer cutting-edge innovation and enhance the customer experience with our feature phones, budget smartphones and smart LED TVs. The key objective of this new roadmap is to adopt the latest technologies along with keeping quality, customer satisfaction and performance as our primary focus areas.
What will be your channel strategies? Offline & Online
We are consistently building equity in different markets to cater the interests of customers as well as the retailers. We are going to implement aggressive 360-degree marketing strategy across all mediums – ATL, BTL and Digital, which will establish a strong brand recall in the market. We have 700+ service centers spread all across the country that assure instant check and ‘hand-to-hand’ replacement, without any delay. Along with on-ground retail promotions and in-store activities, we will be actively promoting Lemon Mobiles through leading digital Platforms and blogging sites throughout the year. Further, we are developing a product portfolio in align with our online strategy and market expansion plan.

Currently, we have a powerful network of 450 regional distributors, 335+ network partners along with 25000+ retailers and Point of Sales (POS), which helps us to place products in every nook and corner of India. We have come up with our new mission and vision which is to be a seamless organization adopting innovative technologies and ‘empowering lives’. It aims to create an ownership and performance driven company by empowering people, keeping product innovation and customer satisfaction at the forefront. To achieve the same, we are always looking to associate with potential new distributors and retailers that can work with us in achieving our vision of operational excellence and innovation in mobile technology.
How many models will you be launching this year?
For this year, the brand is all set to launch 6-7 new smartphones in 4K – 8K price range in the coming months. Our focus will be to maintain a fine balance of our product portfolio in both, feature phone and smartphone category and approach the market accordingly. Available at budget-friendly price, our new products are designed to take the experience of customers to a next level. The new models will be available at retail counters by July this year.
Shed some light on your manufacturing and distribution network.
We have plans to invest Rs 150 Cr in a new manufacturing unit at Sector 80, Noida. The production facility will offer cutting-edge innovation to enhance the customer experience with ‘feature-led budget smartphones’. With an estimated investment of Rs 150 Cr, the proposed facility will be equipped to produce 1 million mobile handsets per month. Spread over 1.30 lacs sq/ft. area, it will also have the capacity of producing 60K LED TVs per month. We are also going to setup a new R&D and testing lab in Shenzhen, China. Currently, we have a powerful network of 500+ regional distributors and with new plans in line; we are aiming to get associated with more distributers in the country.
When new manufacturing unit comes into operations by 2020; we aim to hit Rs 1000 Cr top line in next 3 years. For our newly proposed R&D and testing center in China, we will hire over 100 engineers who will help the brand in driving the innovation targeted for Indian consumers. As part of our international expansion, we also plan to setup a manufacturing unit in China as well.
