HUAWEI, the world’s third largest smartphone manufacturer, catapulted to the top of the Chinese smartphone rankings by outselling rival Xiaomi in terms of both shipments and revenue as per statistics from Sino 2017, Jan-Sep.
“We are encouraged by the Global success and we are certain to replicate this locally with the exciting gamut of products we have lined up for our consumers, starting with the 7X which has been making waves since its announcement earlier this month” said P. Sanjeev, Vice President Sales, Huawei
Innovation is the core proposition that Huawei has long harnessed to move up the growth trajectory, with consistent investments towards R&D with 2016 spending in excess of US$10 billion, accounting for 14.6% of Huawei’s total revenue. Huawei was recently ranked as 8th in terms of R&D spends globally and as the leader in the Telecom Sector.
In India, with its array of innovative customized products, ranging from the feature rich Honor 8 Pro to the soon to be launched Honor 7X, Huawei is successfully working towards replicating this global success under brand Honor. With over 98.8% more devices shipped this year in India, both Huawei and its sub-brand Honor have won the heart of many consumers, building a solid foundation for HUAWEI to increase its impact in the Indian market.
