AIMRA India and CAIT Hold Key Policy Discussions with Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal

AIMRA India continues its journey of progressive engagement with policymakers to strengthen India’s retail ecosystem. In a significant development, the AIMRA India leadership team, along with Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Delhi) Praveen Khandelwal, met Hon’ble Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal at his office.

The meeting focused on detailed discussions around key policy priorities essential for the development and empowerment of India’s retail sector. The AIMRA leadership appreciated the Ministry’s open-minded approach and proactive efforts towards addressing industry challenges, reinforcing a shared vision for a stronger and more inclusive retail environment.

Separately, as Secretary General of CAIT, Shri Praveen Khandelwal also discussed the upcoming Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav with the Hon’ble Minister. The interaction highlighted the event’s role in strengthening India’s domestic trade ecosystem and advancing the Swadeshi vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The discussions underscored the importance of showcasing the strength, innovation, and global potential of Indian trade and industry through initiatives aligned with Make in India and Vocal for Local.
