The brand had started its journey with Power Bank, which has become the brand’s identity and signature product with time.
During an exclusive interaction with Mobility Magazine, Mr. Ashok Rajpal, Managing Director, Ambrane India speaks in detail regarding the journey, the major landmark attained to be the premier manufacturer of power banks in India and how the brand continues to boost “Make in India” policy.
1. After completion of a decade in this industry describe the trends that you see evolving.
A lot has changed significantly. As a lifestyle brand, we are constantly evolving with new technology and products. We quickly adapt to the dynamic consumer needs, keeping our products up to date in terms of technology and serviceability, while keeping convenience and market trends in mind. We make certain that all of our products blend in with the modern, fast-paced lifestyles of our customers.
2. How has the brand evolved towards its commitment to its vision and mission?
Ambrane has progressed as a brand over the years. Our vision and mission have remained consistent since the beginning; we have simply broadened our horizons. The vision is to power everyday lives and provide Indian consumers with dependability, affordability, and authenticity, making Ambrane their first choice. Mission – We are carrying on the Make-in-India tradition by manufacturing more product categories in India. In addition to our existing powerbank, we have successfully begun to manufacture audio products. We are developing new technologies and strengthening our “Made in India” products.
3. What has been the success mantra for the growth of the brand?
Our “Made in India” is a unique approach; we were the first brand to manufacture powerbank in India. The brand is based on the idea of empowering Indian consumers’ lifestyles with authentic Made-In-India products that do not compromise on quality while remaining affordable. In addition to providing high-quality products, the brand takes a consumer-centric approach that caters to the needs of the customers. Ambrane considers after-sales services to be just as important as the product itself. As a result, we are extremely responsive to consumer queries and are always active on social media platforms in addition to customer support channels. We have over 400 service centres across India, which allows the brand to be more responsive and accessible to its customers.
4. How do you see the scope of the wearable segment?
People are becoming more aware of the importance of health and fitness. Fitness equipment has now become a necessity. As a result, we are expanding our line of smart wearable gadgets with smartwatches. These days, smartwatches are the most desired gadget for any fitness enthusiast. We consider our smartwatches to be extremely useful when it comes to blending into modern fitness routines. The smartwatch category has a lot of possibilities.
5. Despite the stiff competition, what is the message that you would like to give to young entrepreneurs who are still struggling to pave their path in the mobile accessory business?
In today’s world, opportunities and competition are abundant, so one needs to follow their dreams and in a strategic and practical manner, ensuring success. What one must also remember, is to be grounded while aiming high, and not to fade their priorities and consumers away. Lastly, it is imperative to keep on innovating in terms of technology and solutions to keep up with the ever- evolving world.
6. What is the vision envisaged in the road ahead?
Since our inception, we have served over 20 million customers and currently hold a 20% market share in the charging products category. By 2023, we hope to have reached the next ten million customers. By 2028, we hope to have increased our market share to 30%, expanded our product portfolio into other consumer electronics segments, and completely sourced or manufactured all of our products in India.
