Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) is strengthening its commitment to sustainable mobility through an expanded partnership with IONAGE, a leading eMobility service provider based in Bangalore. This collaboration will provide EV owners nationwide seamless access to BPCL’s extensive network of electric vehicle chargers.
Founded in 2021, IONAGE aims to integrate over 100,000 EV chargers onto its platform by 2028, expanding opportunities for more than 10,000 small and medium businesses. This initiative builds on BPCL’s eDrive Initiative, launched in February 2022, which aims to streamline the user experience by allowing access to multiple Charger Point Operators (CPOs) through a single interface.
The agreement was signed by Mr. S. Kannan, Chief General Manager of Marketing, Retail at BPCL, and Mr. Vimal Kumar, CEO of IONAGE, with Mr. Pardeep Goyal, Business Head of Retail at BPCL, emphasizing the importance of accessibility and convenience for EV users.
Looking ahead, IONAGE plans to partner with key stakeholders to establish charging facilities in over 15,000 residential complexes, further accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in India.
