boAt, India’s No.1 audio and wearable brand partners with Warner Music India to present ‘Maati,’ a unique musical experience celebrating India’s rich folklore. The project, which features eight tracks in eight languages, showcases a stellar lineup of artists including Vishal Dadlani, Mohit Chauhan, Mikey McCleary, Sushant Divgikar aka Rani KoHEnur, Madhubanti Bagchi, Ash King, Nikhita Gandhi, and more. Through this collaboration, boAt reinforces its commitment to celebrating India’s diverse cultural heritage and supporting the growth of its dynamic music landscape.
Launched in October, the tracks will be released over the next two months across Warner Music India’s YouTube channel and social media platforms.
‘Maati’ showcases the remarkable versatility of Indian folk music through eight languages—Rajasthani, Telugu, Assamese, Punjabi, Tamil, Gujarati, Bengali, and Garhwali Pahadi. It bridges the gap between regional authenticity and modernity, blending the talents of established icons such as Vishal Dadlani, Mohit Chauhan, Ash King, and Nikhita Gandhi with emerging voices, including Sushant Divgikar aka Rani KoHEnur and Madhubanti Bagchi. The tracks, curated by composers Achint Thakkar and Parth Pandya, tell diverse stories—from a lover’s reunion to satirical takes on marriage—encapsulating the spirit of India’s folklore.
The first three tracks—Bawla, Style, and Bordoisila—are now live. Bawla brings together the vibrant Rani KoHEnur, composer Mikey McCleary, and the soulful Khan Brothers. Style showcases the talents of Achint Thakkar and Parth Pandya, while Bordoisila features the powerful voices of Anand Bhaskar and Abhishruti Bezbaruah.

Maati’s goal is to break stereotypes by pairing folk music with contemporary artists, proving that music transcends boundaries, languages, and regions. The project sets the stage for more such collaborations, with Warner Music India planning to expand Maati into a live festival in 2025.
