Dimension Next Infocom Pvt. Ltd. is a leading OEM manufacturer of laptops, tablets, mobile accessories, and networking products, delivering innovation and quality. In an exclusive interaction with Mobility Magazine, Mr. Kapil Wadhwa, CEO, Dimension Next Infocom Pvt. Ltd. Discusses the company’s growth, innovation, and commitment to quality manufacturing in India.
Can you tell us about the range of products you manufacture?
We specialize in manufacturing IT and mobile accessories, including a wide range of cables, charging cables, and data cables. Our products range from two-core to eight-core cables, covering various types such as braided cables, PVC, fishnet, and TPE cables. Additionally, we offer multi-functional cables like two-in-one, three-in-one, and four-in-one options.
Beyond mobile cables, we also manufacture computer-related cables, including Started, Mantra, Morpho, USB to printer cables, and patch cords. Our product portfolio extends beyond cables to chargers, earphones, neckbands, smartwatches, and power banks. We deal with both mobile and IT accessories, ensuring high-quality solutions for our customers.
How is manufacturing growing in India, and what impact is Make in India making?
Manufacturing in India is growing at an incredible pace. The government’s Make in India initiative is playing a crucial role in this growth. With a strong push towards local manufacturing, policies are being designed to favor Indian manufacturers. For example, the GeM portal does not allow the sale of imported products that are not made in India, which further strengthens domestic production.
There are immense opportunities in manufacturing, and we are seeing a major shift where businesses prefer Indian-made products. Our industry is benefiting from this change, and we are proud to contribute to the local economy by producing high-quality mobile and IT accessories within India.
Where does Dimension Next Infocom stand out in quality and pricing from competitors?
Quality is our foremost priority. While price is an important factor, we never compromise on quality. Many manufacturers focus only on pricing, but we ensure a balance between quality and competitive pricing.
Our manufacturing unit is well-equipped with all the necessary facilities, from raw material processing to the final product. Everything is done in-house, which allows us to maintain strict quality control. Unlike other manufacturers who outsource various stages of production, we handle everything ourselves, which results in superior product consistency.
Additionally, while imported products from China often come at lower prices, we ensure that our products provide better value with long-lasting quality. Customers who initially explore other manufacturers eventually return to us once they recognize the reliability of our products.
How has the manufacturing landscape evolved over the years?
Manufacturing used to be extremely challenging, but over time, things have improved significantly. Government policies now support ease of doing business, which helps manufacturers establish and grow their operations more efficiently.
One interesting trend is the rise of regional brands. These brands are growing faster than national brands because they cater to localized markets. Since they focus on specific territories, they have a deeper connection with their customers, making them highly competitive in their respective regions.
For manufacturers, working with these smaller brands can be tricky because their order quantities are lower. However, they manage their operations well by placing slightly larger orders to sustain their stock for longer periods.
Are there any new products or innovations Dimension Next Infocom is working on?
Yes, we are constantly expanding our product range. In 2025, we have added HDMI cables and power cables to our portfolio. These were not part of our product line earlier, but with increasing demand, we have ventured into these segments.
Cables and chargers are among the few products that are fully manufactured in India, while many other electronic accessories are still in the assembly phase. Though India has been assembling electronics for over two decades, our focus remains on transitioning towards complete in-house manufacturing.
What message would you like to share with upcoming manufacturers in the industry?
My advice to new manufacturers is simple—focus on quality. India has a huge opportunity to establish itself as a global leader in manufacturing. However, this will only be possible if we maintain high standards.
Compromising on quality tarnishes the reputation of our country and industry. Instead, by offering premium products at competitive prices, we can build a strong and sustainable future for Indian manufacturing.
I urge all new manufacturers to prioritize quality over short-term gains. By doing so, we can collectively strengthen India’s position as a trusted hub for IT and mobile accessories manufacturing.
