The session featured company presentations followed by an insightful FIRECHAT between Dr. Jignesh Shah and Mr. Hetal Shah, Co-Founders of Mobilla, moderated by Mr. Sukanta Dey, an industry veteran with leadership experience across leading companies. The discussion highlighted the founders’ entrepreneurial journey – from starting as a small provider to building a multi-crore enterprise – while sharing valuable lessons on principles, growth, and resilience.

Dr. Jignesh Shah, an MBBS graduate and zealous entrepreneur, brings a creative mindset to management. With a strong passion for emerging technologies, product development, and marketing, he is known for his keen attention to detail and innovation-driven approach.
Mr. Hetal Shah, a seasoned entrepreneur, complements this vision with prudent planning, negotiation expertise, and strong sales acumen. He plays a crucial role in aligning new product development with evolving market demands.

Dr. Jignesh Shah emphasized that consumer trust has always been central to Mobilla’s philosophy. Operating initially in a largely unorganised sector posed challenges, but a consistent focus on quality, reliability, and professionalism enabled steady progress. In the early days, consumers faced limited access to quality products and frequent retailer-related issues. As the market evolved, Mobilla introduced superior alternatives, prioritizing quality over low-cost offerings.

A key turning point came with the transition from feature phones to smartphones. Although early adoption of quality accessories was slow due to price sensitivity and limited manufacturing knowledge, growing awareness and the widespread use of touchscreen devices increased demand. Mobilla capitalized on this shift through direct consumer research, supported by a pan-India back-end team of over 100 professionals who regularly gather consumer insights, feedback, and suggestions. Field interactions, trials, and feedback sessions became integral to refining products and enhancing user experience.
Mr. Hetal Shah highlighted Mobilla’s integrated approach, combining consumer engagement, competitive intelligence, and continuous innovation to build a culture of responsiveness and quality. He advised aspiring entrepreneurs to begin by identifying unmet market needs and product gaps, followed by choosing the right production strategy – whether imports, OEM partnerships, or in-house manufacturing. He stressed that brand-building is a long-term journey, requiring persistence, patience, adaptability, and continuous consumer engagement. Early challenges are inevitable, but consistent focus on quality and learning from every phase leads to sustainable success.

In a nutshell

The FIRECHAT offered a comprehensive view of Mobilla’s growth journey, showcasing how strategic decision-making, innovation, and a strong customer-centric approach helped the founders carve a distinctive position in the competitive mobile and lifestyle accessories market.
