During an exclusive interaction with Mobility Magazine, Mr. Varun Gupta and Mr. Tarun Gupta, Co-Founders of GOBOULT, share insights into their Mustang collaboration, premiumization strategy, and ambitious 2026 expansion roadmap.
Please share with us about the products introduced under the Mustang collaboration?
In collaboration with Mustang, we launched three smartwatches — GOBOULT Mustang Stallion, GOBOULT Mustang Racer, and GOBOULT Mustang Muscle — along with one true wireless earphone, the GOBOULT Mustang Sprint, which features Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). These products are designed to embody the bold spirit and powerful design language associated with Mustang. The launch prices start at ₹1,800 and go up to ₹4,000. However, since these are limited-edition products, prices may increase later. The entire collection reflects aggressive styling, premium aesthetics and strong build quality — truly inspired by the performance-driven DNA of Mustang.
What makes the Mustang collaboration special for GOBOULT?
This collaboration is extremely strategic for us. Around 18–22 months ago, after rebranding, we decided to focus deeply on product technology, innovation, and design excellence. We invested heavily in developing strong product models and creating something differentiated in the market. Premiumisation is our key focus this year. Instead of competing only in the ₹1,000–₹1,500 segment, we wanted to move into the ₹3,000–₹5,000 range with strong lifestyle positioning. Partnering with Mustang allows us to elevate our brand perception and tap into a premium, aspirational audience. This is not just about adding a logo — it’s about integrating Mustang’s performance-led design language into our products. The result is something truly unique in the Indian market.
What differentiates these smartwatches in this price segment?
If you look at the ₹3,000–₹5,000 segment, you won’t find anything offering this kind of design and lifestyle appeal. In fact, even many analog watches priced at ₹50,000 or more don’t carry such bold design detailing. These smartwatches aren’t just tech products; they are fashion statements. We are attempting to bridge the gap between the analog watch market and the smartwatch market. The idea was to create a product that competes not only with other smartwatches but also with premium analog watches. By pricing them strategically, we’re appealing to both audiences — those looking for technology and those looking for lifestyle aesthetics.
Tell us more about the GOBOULT Mustang Sprint TWS.
The GOBOULT Mustang Sprint is our first Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) true wireless earphone under the Mustang collaboration. While we’ve been working with Mustang in the audio category for nearly two years, this is our first smartwatch range and a significant step forward in the audio segment. Sprint delivers powerful sound, premium styling, and noise isolation — all aligned with Mustang’s performance identity. It’s built for users who want style along with substance.
Brief us about your future Mustang launches and plans for 2026?
2026 is going to be a big year for us.Apart from these five Mustang products, we will be expanding into additional categories under the Mustang umbrella. Very soon, you’ll see Mustang speakers in the market. In the first half of the year, we’ll also introduce power banks under this collaboration. In the second half, expect more smartwatches and audio products. We are continuously expanding the Mustang portfolio. Beyond Mustang, GOBOULT as a brand will continue launching products across multiple categories. From now until the end of the year, we plan to introduce three to four products every month. We’re aggressively expanding our portfolio and strengthening our presence across both online and offline channels.
