Pure EV has opened its first flagship store, eBOX Motors, in Delhi. It is a Hyderabad-based electric motorcycle manufacturer and it is the first store of the company in the capital, Delhi.
Pure EV’s electric motorcycle model comes with a portable lithium-ion battery in a metal casing with a portable charger. According to the company, these EVs only require a 5-amp electric socket, so they can be charged anywhere. All models feature an aerodynamic body, multi-reflector headlamps, a 4-inch LCD screen, rounded mirrors, and 10-inch alloy wheels with fat rubber tires. Models are available in six colors: white, red, blue, black, gray and silver.
Pure EV also plans to expand its manufacturing base to a larger facility with an annual production capacity of 20,000 rupees and a battery production capacity of 5 GWh. The company aims to open a new plant by 2022 to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles and lithium batteries in India. We also want to set up stores nationwide.
Pure EV has its own battery manufacturing and research setup facility, with various teams working on the core areas of battery thermal management systems and powertrains to deliver long-range, high-performance lithium batteries.
Pure EV is a company born from the IIT Hyderabad campus also manufactures lithium-ion batteries.
