Mr. Kamlesh Sharma, Founder, iGear spoke to Mobility magazine and discussed their brand policy, USPs and the future ahead. iGear is a brand that offers innovative gadgets at an affordable cost to customers looking for technology solutions to their lifestyle needs.
Please take us through iGear vision and plans.
iGear focuses on innovation in design, utility and practicality. The brand has a vision to create multiutility and innovative products at affordable prices.. The brand has been there for about 4 years and has been growing 60% YOY.
What are the USPs of the brand?
iGear believes in providing the best experience to the customers. Our USP(unique selling point) has been the USP(Unique Selling Products) with multiutility features, design, quality and affordability . We have always introduced our products which are away from the clutter
How has the journey been for the company?
It’s been an exciting journey with YOY growth . In the first instance, iGear started journey in the B2B market and moved to D2C and already trading with Croma, Amazon, Flipkart and we continue to create a difference in the landscape of gadgets and mobile accessories category.
We started our journey with a single category now have 5 categories namely Hearables, Desk Lamps, Fitness, IT Peripherals and Accessories
What are the innovations that set your brand apart from the others?
When one un-boxes any of our products, one doesn’t just un-box a trendy lifestyle, one is un-boxing new possibilities of an intelligent way of living. Recently the brand has come up with Twinbod2.0 the ear pods cum speaker which is a unique offering as Earpods turns in to Bluetooth speaker when put back into the charging case. Additionally brand has launched the Retro Series Keyboards with unique typing experience with POPUP removable keys which come in multicolours moving away from the traditional black and white keyboards.
In your long experience in this mobile accessories space, what changing trends have you noticed?
I have had a rich experience of about 20 years in Design, Purchases, International markets, suppliers and logistics of Electronic brands. The trend from traditional black and white desk accessories to wearables are moving in to colous. Very well accepted by the masses as everyone wants to express themselves uniquely and iGear ensures we give them the trend.
Explain the plans laid down by the company for distributors and channel partners and expansion plan?
iGear has successfully managed to carve an audience for itself in a highly competitive market by having a strong base by being in LFR and building up the distributors and the channel partners. Our products can be purchased across Croma stores in India and recently started getting place with Reliance Digital.
What message would you like to give to your partners?
As quality being one of the pillars of our product, company gives 1 year warranty on every product. Our aim is to have our product present in every household in next 3 years.
