At the IFA 2014 tech show which was held in Berlin earlier this month, Lenovo announced its two latest smartphohnes – the Vibe Z2 and the Vibe X2. While everyone was hoping to see these devices launch in India today, Lenovo instead launched another one – the Vibe Z2 Pro, which is quite better than the recently announced two devices. The latest Vibe Z2 Pro is priced at Rs. 32,999 and can be bought in Titanium, Gold and Black color variants. The phone also comes with USB-OTG support. You can thus share and use the power from other phones as well. The phone will start selling in India from October 6th and it will be exclusively available via online retailer Flipkart.
The Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro sports a 6-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD IPS display and is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 (8974AC) processor with 550 MHz Adreno 330 GPU. The CPU is also backed by 3GB of RAM and the handset runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Vibe 2.0 UI layered on top. In the imaging front, the latest Vibe Z2 Pro uses a 16MP autofocus camera with dual LED Flash, OIS and a 5MP front-facing camera, with a lot of options to take selfies with including self shooting timer, tap, voice command and even blink.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE / 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth with A2DP, GPS, NFC. It might be a surprising element but it is a Dual SIM smartphone. The primary SIM card slot will support 2G, 3G and 4G SIM while the secondary tray will support only 2G SIM. Internal memory stands at 32GB and the device measures 156 x 81.3 x 7.7 mm and weighs in at 179grams. The smartphone is fueled by 4000 mAh battery.
