The central government said it has approved 34 electronic components manufacturing proposals worth Rs 11,187 crore till March 30 this year. India is emerging as trusted player in global value chain of electronics and
has a target of USD 300 billion for electronics manufacturing by 2025-26 In this connection, the Government has taken various strategic steps and initiatives to broaden and deepen the Electronics Manufacturing and Information Technology sector in the country.
Located in central India, Madhya Pradesh is popularly known as the ‘heart of India’ and is a beneficiary of mega infrastructure projects, with both North-South and East-West corridor crossing the State. The state offers excellent support infrastructure for industrial growth. The State contains 96 industrial areas and 13 proposed greenfield industrial areas.
Asian Paints had announced plans to invest ₹2,100 crore for setting up a manufacturing facility for Vinyl Acetate Ethylene Emulsion (VAE) and Vinyl Acetate Monomer (VAM) in India and another ₹550 crore to manufacture white cement and other materials. Textile and garment companies from Rajasthan and southern states have submitted invested proposals to the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC).
