Dear Readers & Partners,
Mobility Magazine wishes all the readers and partners a successful & prosperous New Year 2026!
As a step ahead, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has approved 22 new proposals under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), part of the broader Production Linked Incentive (PLI) framework, unlocking an estimated ₹41,863 crore worth of investment. This tranche marks the third major round of approvals under the scheme and signals a decisive push by the Indian government to deepen local component manufacturing.
At the state level, the growth of the electronics manufacturing sector in West Bengal is supported by proactive state policies aligned with national initiatives such as Make in India, Digital India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat. This region hosts electronics assembly units, IT hardware manufacturers, software firms, and R&D centers. The state has also developed the Falakata Electronics Manufacturing Cluster in North Bengal and other industrial parks to promote regional industrialization.
