Dear Readers,

Greetings from the Mobility Magazine!

The supporting infrastructure for the electronics manufacturing units is already pres ent in the city of Guwahati. Tata Group hopes that the commercial production of semicon ductor chips at its Assam plant whose foundation stones were laid on recently, would start in 2026. We can also see more industries coming in Assam in the coming times.

India’s electronics manufacturing sector is on the cusp of a significant transformation as in dustry leaders push for Rs 35,000 crore under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. This substantial financial request underscores the sector’s ambition to boost production, en hance global competitiveness, and position India as a leading hub for electronics manufac turing.

Coming to the political scene, the results of the Lok Saba Elections 2024 have been a bit stun ning and unexpected, but the mobility industry hopes the new government and its allies at the center will continue the industry-friendly and Make in India-driving policies, and support the mobility industry alongside other industries to grow and expand.
