The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Semicon India – 2025’ in New Delhi, aimed at catalyzing India’s Semiconductor ecosystem. SEMICON India 2025, a threeday Conference, is focused on advancing a robust, resilient, and sustainable semiconductor ecosystem in the country and on maximizing technological advancements in the semiconductor and electronics domain and highlight India’s policies aimed at strengthening its semiconductor ecosystem.
This month’s state level coverage is on UP government’s initiatives, which under its Electronics Manufacturing Policy 2020, aim to establish the state as a preferred destination for electronics system design and manufacturing (ESDM). The policy lays out a comprehensive framework, with a slew of incentives, to attract investment, foster innovation, and build a skilled workforce in the electronics sector. The policy also aligns its initiatives with the central government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme to attract global and domestic players in electronics manufacturing.
