Mobatree has been a leader in the manufacturing of lithium batteries over the past decade now. The brand has been one of the pioneers in importing lithium-ion cells and assembling them tomake them available for the Indian audience. Mobatree has recently announced the OEM service wherein they will serving the top brands of the industry by making batteries with their own brand name.

Mobility Magazine has spoken to Mr. Manish Agarwal, Director, Mobatree who elucidates the brand policy and the expectations for the upcoming year and unfolds the new path ahead.

Mobatree boasts of offering a huge range of lithium batteries which possess high performance, low maintenance. Some of the other key features include long life, easy installation, and durability. The brand has anticipated growth in the lithium battery segment and hence had started manufacturing in India. This growth is mainly driven by the increasing demand for cost-efficient, lightweight, and longer-lasting batteries in the automotive, consumer electronics, and power industries. The rapidly growing EV industry in India is propelling the demand for lithium-ion battery market.

After brushing up themselves with the experience of one decade in the industry, the founders of the company have come up with this start-up named Mobatree. One of the pioneers to import lithium-ion cells and assemble them to make it available for the Indian audience.

    R&D

The brand has its own manufacturing base factory as while as many sub-contracting factories, which enables a reliable manufacturing ability and quality control system. Mobatree is capable of supplying both the equipment and technologies according to customers’ different requirements and realities. We have a more than a decade year professional and experienced team to supply perfect services.

    Innovation

Mobatree incorporates the modern innovative technology to manufacture lithium ion battery and employs various technologies to provide lithium-ion batteries with better performance, efficiency, and charging time options.

Lithium-ion batteries manufactured at Mobatree are characterised by light weightness and high energy density. These features make them suitable for electric current generation. They can be easily packed into smaller units, increasing portability.

    Implications of BUDGET 2023

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday announced that the custom duty on lithium batteries has been slashed from 21 per cent to 13 per cent. Lithium batteries are used in many products such as electronics, toys, wireless headphones, handheld power tools, small and large appliances, electric vehicles and electrical energy storage systems. Customs duty exemptions are extended to the import of capital goods and machinery required for lithium and ion cells for batteries used in EVs. Hence, this move is likely to make EVs cheaper.

Mr Manish says, “We are one of the pioneers in manufacturing of lithium batteries in India and are the only one which offers a wide variety of batteries more than 500 SKUS in lithium batteries which is commendable. Lithium batteries are used in almost all technological devices now even children’s games and Mobatree batteries are light weighted and also practically maintenance-free and offer some mitigating factors that make them more environmentally friendly. We see a huge potential in manufacturing industry with the BUDGET 2023.’
