During an interaction with Mobility Magazine, Mr. Jignesh Shah and Mr. Hetal Shah, Co-Founders of Mobilla, and Mr. Vishal  Gupta CMO  Mobilla, talk about the journey of their brand, the strategic tools adopted to drive Make in India, and their insights into the Indian manufacturing landscape. Mobilla is a manufacturer and distributor of a wide assortment of mobile phone accessories which include wall chargers, car chargers, batteries, hands-free data cables, card readers, Blue-tooth head phones, power inverters, powerbanks, smart watches, neckbands, TWS Earbuds, portable speakers and universal chargers, which are reckoned for their efficiency and innovative designs.

Mr. Jignesh Shah states, “Our main aim is to meticulously incorporate every new innovation into our products thus contributing to our customers’ delight and satisfaction. We aim to be the most reputed Indian brand that meets the demands of the Indian as well as global markets. The growing urban population in India has contributed to a significant amount of demand for the mobile accessories such as power banks, premium headphones, and smart watches. Rapid migration from rural to urban areas and increasing tendency of young consumers from the upper-middle-class section to purchase high-end accessories are propelling the growth of the Indian mobile phone accessories market. In view of all these factors, we see a lot of opportunity for the mobile accessory market.”

About the changing market trends, Mr. Hetal Shah asserts, “We have been in the mobile accessory industry since 2004 and has seen the market evolve from keypad phones to smart phones. We understand the needs of the customers very well.”

“There has been a great change in consumer buying behaviour—today consumers are ready to shell out more money for the quality products they want,” adds

Mr. Vishal Gupta,  CMO,  Mobilla, Make in India is a major initiative of the government of India aimed at facilitating investment, fostering innovation, enhancing skill development, protecting intellectual property, and building best-in-class manufacturing base in the country.

Talking about Make in India, Mr. Jignesh Shah comments, “We feel that Make in India is a very good initiative that can make the country a global exporting hub. Our modern manufacturing and testing facilities enable us to produce goods with the highest quality standards at affordable costs. We have talented professionals working for us and we use the high-quality raw materials.

Make in India will not only pave the way for building a robust ecosystem but also create new opportunities for people who are jobless. It’s a very good strategy to give employment to the Indians.

Mr. Hetal Shah expresses,”If the domestic industry grows, it will provide more employment opportunities to the local youth. Quality standards of the local manufacturers are also improving fast. We are sure that India will become an export manufacturing hub for electronics in a few years time.”

About their future plans, Mr. Vishal Gupta concludes, “We plan to come up with new lifestyle products that will be app-based and revolutionary, shifting towards building Digital India into Hitech India. We are also planning to look at new distribution networks. Today, the domesticmanufacturers are doing a fantastic job of not compromising on quality. In the coming years, we believe India will definitely become a manufacturing hub.”
