Narang Enterprises, based in Karnal, Haryana, is a leading distributor for several prominent telecom brands in Haryana. During an exclusive interaction with Mobility Magazine, Mr. Bhuwan Narang, Director, Narang Enterprises, shares about their distribution policies and future plans.
1. Please brief us about your company’ journey and current distribution operations?
Narang Enterprises was founded in 1949 by our grandfather, Shri Satpal Narang providing FMCG, and then my father, Shri Deepak Narang, carried forward the tradition before I took over from him. With the growing use of mobile phones and accessories, we entered the mobile phone accessories segment in 2013. In the last 13 years, we made good progress and recorded consistent annual growth rate. We have been one of the leading distributors of Lava International Ltd, ITC Ltd, and Page Industries Ltd for over a decade; of IFB Industries and Jokey for the past 3 years. Last year, we were appointed as a Zonal distributor of BoAt & POCO for Haryana zone. Our current portfolio includes mobile phones, mobile accessories, home appliances and electronic products.
2. What is special about your company compared to competitors?
We established Narang Enterprises with a vision to deliver excellence. We steadily built our reputation through commitment to quality, partner-friendly policies, customer satisfaction, and ethical business practices. Over the years, we have expanded our operations, adding new brands and products, adapting to the market changes and ensuring consistent supply. We help the brands associated with us to establish and grow in Haryana. Being a distributor, we also help our downline partners to build their businesses, expand their reach and optimize market presence. Partner-friendliness and customer-centricity remain at the heart of our company. We maintain high availability and prompt deliveries to our partners.
3. What opportunities do you see in the current mobile products market? What are the latest developments in your business?
Mobile phone usage is increasing day-by-day and correspondingly the usage of accessories. Hence, we see a lot of opportunity in the mobile phones and accessories space. We focus only on the select product-lines and brands and partner only with the trustworthy dealers and retailers.
4. What challenges do you face and how do you overcome them?
The major challenges include the competition from the grey market products which are cheap but of poor quality. Price-sensitive customers often fall prey to these products, which may be cheap at the moment but cost more in the long-run as they fail to perform soon. Second, there is a lot of competition in the market both in-between the brands and in-between the resellers which is leading to shrinkage of margins. However, due to the reputation and the trust we have in the market, we are able to overcome these challenges and continue our growth trajectory.
5. What are your future plans?
In future, we want to add more brands to our clientele, more dealer partners to our network and expand our operations in Haryana. Our vision is to optimize distribution, ensuring superior service and sustained growth. This year, we will achieve a turnover of Rs. 500 crores and by the end of 2027, we want to reach an annual turnover of Rs. 1000 crores. We are optimistic about our future growth and success.
