The charging details haven’t been revealed yet. In comparison to the Nothing Phone (1)’s 4,500mAh battery, this is a slight increase but with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, it would be an 80% increase in overall performance improvement over the last gen.
On choosing the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip instead of the Gen 2, Pei gave the reason that this would make the Nothing Phone (2) remain accessible which is probably hinting at the price range for the smartphone. The Nothing Phone (1) sits at a comfortable spot in terms of pricing where it isn’t as expensive as the premium affordable smartphones but not too cheap either.
The Nothing Phone (2) is expected to feature a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also said to house an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is rumoured to house a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera with OIS. When launched, the Nothing Phone (2) will most likely come in three variants of 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB. As for the confirmed specs, we know the Nothing Phone (2) will come with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a 4,700mAh battery.
