numBer Fone Co isn’t just another audio brand—it’s built for those who demand powerful sound, cutting-edge features and a seamless experience across Music, Calling and Gaming. In an exclusive interaction with Mobility Magazine, Mr. Jigar Mehta, Founder & CEO of numBer Fone Co, delves into the brand’s inception and its mission to revolutionize mobile experiences for Indian users, the company’s user-centric strategies, emphasizing deep market research, localized innovation to cater to diverse consumer needs and outlines ambitious plans for expansion, technological advancement, and contributing to India’s digital growth.

 1. What has been the motivation in expanding the brand in India?

At numBer, we believe India doesn’t just need better audio — it deserves technology that keeps up with how we live, move and hustle. The Indian user is no longer a passive follower of global trends. They are at the forefront of digital adoption.

Our motivation is to power this shift by building audio gear that is both high-performing and practical. numBer is built for the real India. From 100-hour battery life to dual pairing and traffic-tested ENC, our products are made to solve everyday use-cases. We are not just creating gadgets — we are designing trust in motion.

2. How have you been able to tailor the platform to the Indian user base?

We design around real Indian moments. That’s why our products feature extended battery life, ENC tuned for outdoor noise and dual connectivity for seamless multitasking.

Our flagship lifestyle model, NAVO Buds X1, crossed 100,000+ units in under 60 days, proving that tuning for Indian ears beats chasing specs. Likewise, the Super Buds Pro GT99, with 4-mic ENC and ultra-low latency, has won over Gen-Z gamers with over 100K units sold.

Most importantly, we listen — reviews, comments, offline retail feedback — and constantly improve based on what our users really want.

3. How does the company define its core positioning?

“We do not launch generic models. Every design tells a story — not just a spec list.”

numBer is a performance-first Indian audio brand, rooted in three pillars:

Music – punchy bass that hits without distortion

Calling – clear voice even in noisy environments

Gaming – sub-40ms latency for Lag-free gaming

And we add a fourth dimension: Design. The NAVO series blends bold colorways with iconic silhouettes. From GT9’s helmet-inspired case to Z1’s digital display bar, every detail is crafted to feel personal, stylish and proudly Indian.

4. What technologies or design principles are leveraged to deliver a top-tier mobile experience?

We focus on smart specs, not spec overload. From Bluetooth 5.4 and Dual-Device Connectivity to AI-powered ENC and Bass Boost Modes — every feature is designed to deliver intuitive, seamless use.

Our Super Buds Pro GT9, India’s first helmet-inspired TWS, is top-rated because we sweat the small stuff: mic placement, charging speed, acoustic tuning and comfort.

Upcoming launches will further refine this balance, introducing upgraded designs that merge style and function — think futuristic finishes, enhanced touch response and deeper voice assistant integrations.

5. How have your leadership principles helped at numBer Fone Co., especially in scaling innovation?

“Innovation is not a department here — it is a mindset.”

At numBer, speed trumps perfection. We operate with a flat culture where ideas speak louder than job titles. From interns to CX leads, everyone contributes to product R&D, naming and testing. This grassroots innovation has helped us stay nimble in a commoditized market.

We are not here to copy the West — we are here to build India-first IP that resonates from Bhubaneswar to Bengaluru.

6. What are the plans to enter new geographies, verticals, or integrate with adjacent platforms?

numBer is growing beyond TWS. Our expansion roadmap includes Bluetooth Speakers, Home Audio and Power Accessories (charging solutions), all with our signature user-first DNA.

We are also exploring export-led growth in Southeast Asia and the GCC, where Indian audio brands are beginning to gain momentum. Our focus remains digital-first via Amazon, Flipkart, Swiggy Instamart and now Myntra — but we are actively looking for offline partnerships with premium retail chains and mobile clusters.

Through the NAVO series, we are showing how deeply Indian roots can create globally relevant design. After all, “NAVO” means “New” in Gujarati — and every launch is a new chapter in redefining Indian audio.

“Rooted in India. Built for the world.”
