The images of the upcoming Oppo A98 that appeared on TENAA confirm that the smartphone will feature a curved display. This will be the first A-series smartphone by the company to feature a curved display. The display panel appears to have a centered punch hole notch which will accommodate the front selfie shooter.
The rear panel of the Oppo A98 has two camera rings arranged in a vertical array. The bottom ring appears to house the LED flash inside it. The number of camera sensors can’t be determined by the images by we can expect the device to offer dual camera setup if not a triple-camera setup. Below the camera rings, 108MP Portrait Camera text can be seen in the images which confirms a 108MP camera setup on the device.
The Oppo A98 is said to feature a 120Hz refresh rate display with a Full HD+ resolution. We can expect it to be an AMOLED panel. Under the hood, the Oppo A98 might sport an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor and Adreno 642L GPU. Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G is an upper mid-range processor and powers several smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G, Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, Realme GT Master Edition, and more.
The Oppo A98 5G is said to come equipped with a 5000mAh battery unit and 67W SuperVOOC fast charging support. The smartphone will reportedly offer a 108MP primary rear camera. The number of cameras and their resolution on the Oppo A98 is still not known.
The Oppo A98 5G is tipped to launch in two configurations – 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. The handset is tipped to go official this month in China. As of now, only this much is known about the Oppo A98. However, we can expect to learn more about the upcoming smartphone in the coming days.
