Chaitanya Hiremath, aka Chad, is an Indian origin entrepreneur and the founder of Scanta, a venture which aims to disrupt the way people live, learn and communicate by joining augmented reality with machine learning technology. He has been the first Indian origin entrepreneur to ever win the Shark Tank Showcase and the prestigious Draper summer pitch, 2018 in San Francisco. He is a proven dynamic, result-oriented leader who’s been making waves around the world with his vision. He has already been invited to speak at prestigious events and universities. These include Stanford University, DANS National AI Summit (Silicon Valley), MISK 2030 (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia), AR/VR National Conference (Qingdao, China) to mention a few.

Chad is a B.com honors graduate from ShaheedBhagat Singh College, Delhi University and acquired a master’s degree in International Management from Prague College. In addition to these two degrees, he pursued Hero Entrepreneurship Program from Draper University in the San Francisco Bay Area.
He started working on game engines and animations while doing his research in Prague. Consequently, he started an animation company with an aim to create hyper-realistic 3D Animations. This was a huge learning curve for him and did not prove to be monetarily successful. As a result, he lost all his savings during the process and had to put an end to this endeavor.
Chaitanya started Scanta during a very low point in his professional life. He pitched the business idea to over 120 investors and had absolutely no luck. The turning point arrived when he had the opportunity to showcase his talent and exhibit his business idea at the Shark Tank showcase in the United States. Since he was cash strapped at that point, he took a $2,000 loan from friends and family just to be able to make it to the showcase. With all the effort he can give, he won first place amongst 30+ start-ups from all over the world and became the first Indian to win the showcase. Since then, there has been no looking back and he has been able to continuously raise capital from United States and Germany based investors.
Scanta’s foundation dates back to September 24th of 2016. Scanta aims to build the future of communication with intelligent AR Avatars. These avatars can be integrated with 3rd party apps and Smart Devices. The ideology behind bringing Scanta to life is to disrupt the way we communicate through the magic of machine learning and augmented reality through which we are introducing the world to the most immersive and efficient form of communication. We want to provide users an experience where artificial intelligence can learn to select and analyze key words within voice commands and then generate sharable 3D avatars accordingly. Since the very beginning, this venture has been successfully working on the same path to impact the way in which we live, learn and communicate. Scanta was recently selected by Forbes 30 under 30 as the “most disruptive start-up of 2018”
On the personal front, Chaitanya is a yogi at heart who loves exploring new places, and is on a mission to feed 100,000 people a day by the year 2021.
