SE2 India goes green; adopts EV fleet for employee commute

India, February 03, 2020: SE2 India, a recognized industry leader providing technology-driven third-party administration services for many of the top U.S. life insurance and annuities companies, today announced its partnership with Lithium Urban Technologies to roll out an electric vehicle fleet for employee commute in its Gurugram office. In line with its larger mission of commitment to the environment & reducing its carbon footprint, SE2 India has decided to adopt 50% of its employee transport to electric in a phased manner, over the next six months.

The adoption of EV cabs in phase 1 is another major step taken by the company towards going green. Some of the other environment friendly initiatives undertaken by the company are – a) reduction in usage of single-use plastic like spoons, stirrers, straws, etc. b) elimination of PET bottles c) plans to increase the number of plants in & around the premises to improve the AQI and take care of SBS (Sick Building Syndrome).

Announcing this important step towards a green environment, Sumit Bhatia, Head of HR, SE2 India said, “Given the daily challenge to get breathable air quality, moving towards the green environment is the way forward. “With transport being one of the highest contributors of carbon emissions, it is pertinent to encourage green commuting habits amongst our employees. With an automated transport system in place and introduction of EV cabs, we plan to strengthen our journey towards building a better future”, he further added.

SE2 India, headquartered out of Gurugram started India operations in March of 2019 and launched its Pune Technology & Innovation Centre in August 2019. SE2 India currently employs a team of about 600 associates providing end-to-end service to its clients in the U.S.
