How did your 25-year journey in imports contribute to the success of Ssbright?

I started my journey in import business about 25 years ago. Over time, as I delved deeper into the market, I began to understand its nuances. This led me to gradually expand into different product categories, identifying opportunities for growth. About 10 years ago, we established Ssbright, and now my sons, Prateek and Jay Nebhnani, have taken over operations. They are managing everything, ensuring the business continues to evolve with the changing market landscape.

How has the market evolved over the years?

The market has changed drastically. Competition has increased significantly, and new products and technologies are constantly emerging. Back in the day, when we started, there were only limited models and product variations. Today, customers demand variety and quality at the same time. This shift has made us focus more on delivering high-quality products rather than just increasing quantity. We have maintained exclusivity by working with select distributors rather than supplying to everyone. The market holds immense potential, and with India’s growing manufacturing capabilities, we are also planning to expand our product lines within the country.

What are your key focus areas in terms of product categories?

Our primary focus has been on audio accessories, particularly speakers. We offer a wide range, from affordable options starting at INR 140 to premium models priced up to INR 10,000. Initially, we did not work under a brand, but over time, we built our own brand identity. Now, our core business revolves around mobile accessories such as earphones, neckbands, TWS, and speakers. The goal has always been to provide quality products that meet evolving customer expectations.

How do you ensure consistent quality in such a competitive market?

Quality is our top priority. Even if we produce in lower quantities, we never compromise on the standard of our products. Customers today demand innovation, variety, and reliability. We closely monitor the market, introduce new models, and ensure that our products meet the highest industry standards. Our philosophy is simple – deliver the best to the customer, and they will keep coming back.

With India’s manufacturing sector growing, do you plan to shift more production domestically?

India’s manufacturing industry is rapidly evolving, and we see great potential in shifting more of our production to the country. Currently, we have started manufacturing power banks, chargers, and cables locally. While speaker production is still a challenge, we are actively exploring ways to develop and manufacture more products within India. The ‘Make in India’ initiative aligns perfectly with our future plans.

Mr. Prateek Nebhnani, you have taken over as the Business Head at Ssbright. How has your journey been so far?

Since childhood, we have been surrounded by gadgets. My brother Jay and I always had an interest in speakers, neckbands, and other accessories. Naturally, when the time came, we decided to join the family business. Thankfully, our father had already established a solid foundation for us. We didn’t face any significant challenges in setting up the business but focused more on scaling it to new heights. Our main objective has been to maintain the quality and reputation of our brand while expanding our reach.

What are some of the key market trends you have observed?

The biggest change has been in customer preferences. While product designs and technology keep evolving, one thing remains constant – the demand for high quality. Customers today want value for money, and that’s exactly what we focus on. Over the years, we have noticed that as new generations emerge, their taste and expectations change. However, the core requirement for reliability and premium quality stays the same. We ensure that our products cater to these evolving needs while maintaining consistency in quality.

What is the main forte of Ssbright?

Our brand primarily specializes in speakers. We are continuously innovating in this space, introducing higher-quality and larger models to cater to different segments. Moving forward, we are also shifting our focus towards TWS earbuds, smartwatches, and power banks. These are products that are currently in high demand, and we want to bring the best quality versions of these to the market. We believe in staying ahead of trends and delivering what the customers need at the right time.

How strong is Ssbright’s distribution network in India?

We have been in the distribution business for the past four years. Today, we have a presence in almost all Indian states, with distributors in multiple regions. Our strategy is to expand gradually, ensuring that we reach more locations while maintaining our quality and service standards. Step by step, we are bridging gaps and increasing accessibility to our products across the country.

What makes Ssbright’s brand unique?

Our brand, ASS, is unique not just in its name but also in the way we approach the market. We focus on contemporary products that cater to today’s digital generation. The name itself stands out, and we ensure that our products do the same in terms of innovation, quality, and performance. Our aim is to keep evolving and introducing products that match the latest market trends.

How does Ssbright align with the ‘Make in India’ initiative?

‘Make in India’ has always been a part of our long-term strategy. We have already started manufacturing power banks, chargers, and cables in India. While speaker production is still a challenge, we are actively working towards it. This initiative is not just about business growth; it’s about contributing to the country’s economy and reducing dependency on imports. Our goal is to increase the number of products we manufacture locally and establish Ssbright as a leading Indian brand.

What message would you like to share with your customers and distributors?

We are growing together with our partners and customers. Our success over the past four years has been possible due to the trust and support of our distributors and customers. We sincerely thank them for believing in us and helping us reach new milestones. We promise to continue delivering top-quality products and expanding our presence to meet the demands of the evolving market.
