Tata Docomo announced that it will celebrate June as ‘Tata Sustainability Month’ to promote sustainable business practices across all its offices. Incidentally, June 5 is being celebrated as the World Environment Day. The theme of this year’s Tata Sustainability Month (TSM) is SMART21 (Sustainable Meaningful Actions for a Responsible TATA) and where 21 stands for the 21 days theory of habit formation and behavior as known in motivation circles.
“At Tata Teleservices, sustainability and social responsibility are core considerations, in keeping with the ethos of the Tata Group, of responsible business growth,” said Ms. Usha Rangarajan – Chief Transformation Officer, Tata Teleservices Limited.
“This four week program is broadly divided into three core areas: Educate– Where employees are made aware of our company’s initiatives and reiterate on our best practices, Engage – Where we invite employees and their families to come forward and share their sustainability practices and Embrace –By small, regular continuous actions we create habits around these best practices which are beneficial for society in general,” elaborated Ms. Usha Rangarajan.
