Tempt India, one of the leading brands in the mobile accessories industry. In an interaction with Mobility Magazine, Mr. Gaurav Khetterpal, Co-Founder, Tempt India, elaborates on their brand’s journey, market positioning, and expansion plans.

Please share with us Tempt’s key milestones and recent innovations.

It has been an incredible journey of 3 years, and we are thrilled to celebrate our 3rd anniversary. One of our most significant milestones is introducing India’s first healthy travel charger which is a sleek 67W GaN 3 Charger, making us one of the few brands working with this advanced technology. We call it a healthy charger because it extends the product’s lifespan while ensuring better device and battery performance. It also comes with a smart IC for intelligent power management.

What are Tempt’s new launches?

We are promoting our charging and power solutions, which include Power Banks, MagSafe Chargers, GaN 3 Series Chargers, and Device-Specific Adapters. For travel, we have introduced global adapters, covering multiple countries with seamless compatibility. In the audio segment, we have an extensive range of products, including Neckbands, TWS Earbuds, and Speakers. Our lineup includes both standard and noise-cancellation options. Additionally, we have expanded into wearables, offering Smartwatches ranging from entry-level models to AMOLED displays. We are also introducing wireless charging solutions, car chargers, and selected IT gadgets – all curetted for top-tier quality.

How do you position Tempt in the market and address customer awareness?

Many buyers are unaware of the technology behind their purchases, leading them to make decisions purely on cost. At Tempt, we actively educate our customers about product benefits and technological advancements and help them choose the best fit for their needs. This is our forte, and we aim to build trust and awareness in the industry. Additionally, we train sales personnel, distributors, and dealers to ensure they provide the right information and recommendations to customers. This approach helps us deliver an optimal customer experience while positioning our brand as a leader in power and charging solutions. Our goal is to establish Tempt as a premium brand.

What regions are you currently focused on, and what are your expansion plans?

Our primary focus is on the South Indian market, where we are recognized as a leading LFR brand. However, we are steadily expanding into other regions, including parts of West India such as Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Delhi.

What is your vision for the future?

We are also committed to the ‘Make in India’ initiative. Currently, around 60% of our portfolio is manufactured in India. We carefully select manufacturers and ensure that our products are tailored for the Indian consumers. Moving ahead, we want to reinforce our premium positioning in power and charging solutions and become a market leader in this category.

What sets Tempt’s charging solutions apart from competitors?

Our differentiators are commitment to technology, quality, and customer-centric solutions. For instance, we are one of the first brands in India to introduce GaN 3 Chargers. This technology offers faster charging speeds, improved efficiency, and longer product lifespan. We also focus on device-specific chargers. To achieve this, we are actively training sales teams to ensure they offer precise recommendations to the customers.

What’s your final message to customers and stakeholders?

We are entering what I call the ‘Tempt 2.0’ era. Our product lineup has evolved significantly, and we are introducing cutting-edge technology across categories. Our mission is to provide the best products at affordable prices, ensuring premium quality and innovation. We invite everyone to experience our latest offerings and be a part of Tempt’s journey. As we expand, we remain committed to delivering top-tier solutions that enhance customer experiences and set new industry benchmarks.
