It is that time of the year again when Indians across the country and the world are in the festive mood; gifting and greeting each other as they begin their celebrations for Diwali – a festival that marks the victory of good over evil. As part of its interactive initiatives to add on to the festivities, Twitter India announced today a special Twitter Poll for people to select their favourite Diwali emoji design and the most voted design will activate as the #HappyDiwali emoji for this year.
People can choose from four options by voting for the emoji they prefer amongst a diya, rangoli and a Diwali lantern. The option that gets the maximum votes will be declared as the Diwali emoji for 2018 on Friday 2nd November by @TwitterIndia. The emoji will be live and available to use from 5th November to 9th November.
