During an interaction with Mobility magazine, Mr. Paresh Vij, Founder & Director, U&i, and Mr. Meet Vij, CEO, U&i, elaborated on the brand policy, the scope of Make in India and their plans ahead.
What do you see as Make in India?
Mr. Paresh Vij, Make in India is an initiative by the Government of India to make and encourage companies to develop, manufacture, and assemble products made in India and to incentivize dedicated investments into manufacturing.
We see a lot of scope in the Make in India initiative, and our moto is also propelled towards making a stronger ecosystem.
What position do you have in the market?
Mr. Paresh Vij, We have positioned ourselves as one of the leaders in consumer electronics, offering innovative products at affordable prices. We at U&i focus on the youth and professionals, besides others. In the last 3 years, U&i has overtaken many established brands in the Indian accessories market to emerge as a market leader.
Within a short span of time, we are able to fulfill the requirements of the teeming millions, and the brand has made space for at least one product in every household. The brand has been the first mover in bringing the latest innovations to the consumer, thereby consolidating its position in the market.
What products are you focusing on now?
Mr. Paresh Vij, said, “U&i always focused on understanding the needs and requirements of the customers.” The brand understands the market needs and comes up with the latest innovative products at affordable prices.
The brand is currently focusing on the TWS segment as we feel that the TWS category is very much in demand. We plan to come up with innovative products that are a perfect blend of innovative technology, unique design, and competitive pricing. We are committed to serving you with the best quality and innovative products, and our key focus is on using creative designs and high-quality, reliable components with sleek exteriors.
Keeping in mind the needs of the customers, we are planning to extend the TWS category and neckbands.
How do you select your products?
Introducing Mr. Meet Vij, We have a very good research and development team, and we keep in mind the various requirements of the people. Then we develop the innovative products accordingly.
What is the marketing strategy that you follow?
Mr. Paresh Vij, Our marketing strategy is very special, and we are different from the crowd. Our marketing strategy is teamwork. Teamwork is essential in marketing as the process will be almost impossible for a single individual to create and deliver successfully alone.
So, we believe that a marketing strategy without teamwork is like a rudderless ship.
What is the future plan?
Mr. Paresh Vij, Over the years, the brand has reached its zenith just due to the fact that we have received many applauds from people. But this is just 0.001% and we are very hopeful that it will be a very good journey ahead. There is still a long way to go.

How do you see the market?
Mr. Meet Vij, We see the market quite cluttered but we have been able to carve a niche as we are well placed to offer affordable premiums.
