Xiaomi got into flagship mode by launching top of the line products across three different categories. It redefined flagship phones with the launch of the showstopping, sharp shooting and hyper fast charging, Xiaomi 12 Pro. The brand also marked its return to the tablet market with the Xiaomi Pad 5, and added a new dimension to its smart TV series by introducing its most premium TV offering yet, the Xiaomi OLED Vision 55. Also unveiled was the successor to its bestselling smart television series by introducing the Xiaomi Smart TV 5A series.
“Since its arrival in 2014, Xiaomi has woven itself into the fabric of India. We started out as a brand that would have been delighted to sell a few thousand phones. Today, thanks to the faith our consumers and our fans have shown in us, Xiaomi is not just the country’s leading brand in smartphones and smart TVs, but is a household name,” said Raghu Reddy, Chief Business Officer, Xiaomi India.
It comes with a brilliant 17.09 cm 2K+ AMOLED display, which can produce more than a billion colours and has a peak brightness of 1500 nits, even while consuming less power than the previous generation of displays. Ensuring scrolling graphics remain smooth, while optimising battery power, Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which changes as per the content being displayed on it.
India’s first and only 50MP + 50MP + 50MP Flagship Camera setup on the back ensures that no matter which camera you use – the wide, the ultrawide or the telephoto – stunning images and videos are assured. The cameras on the Xiaomi 12 Pro also come with Xiaomi’s Pro Focus prowess which includes Motion Tracking Focus, Motion Capture Focus and Eye Tracking Focus to ensure that what you are shooting stays in sharp focus.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro also redefines audio, thanks to the first quad speaker setup seen on a flagship in the current Indian market. Tuned by Harman Kardon, these speakers deliver the kind of sound you would expect from standalone speakers, making this beautiful device a veritable multimedia beast.
Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by the leading mobile processor of the day, the Qualcomm® Snapdragon 8 Generation 1, making it capable of handling any and every task that is assigned to it. It runs on the feature rich MIUI 13 interfaces on the top of Android 12, the latest version of the OS. Xiaomi’s legendary 120W Hypercharge, accompanied by a 120W charger in the box, ensures that the 4500 mAh battery in the Xiaomi 12 Pro gets topped in a mere 18 minutes. There is also support for 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging.
This combination of stunning looks, super sharp shooting cameras, the latest processor, insanely fast charging battery and amazing sight and sound make the Xiaomi 12 Pro the ultimate flagship showstopper.
The event also marked the return of Xiaomi to the tablet market. Eight years after redefining budget tablets with the Mi Pad, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Pad 5. The tablet is targeted at those who want a device that performs at notebook levels while retaining the convenience and portability of the tablet form factor. “The pandemic has made many of us realise the need to have additional screens both at home and work,” said Sumit Sonal, Product Marketing Head – Xiaomi, Xiaomi India.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 is designed to handle everything from education to entertainment to productivity and gaming. Its brilliant 27.8cm display with 2.5 K+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and a quad speaker arrangement make it the perfect device to watch content on, whether it is an online class, a show or simply a YouTube video. The presence of a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 860 processor makes the tablet a gaming and multimedia master, enabling users to play high-definition games and even edit videos.
