Xiaomi has decided to move into the new era by replacing the popular MiUI version with the new HyperOS platform which was announced in October. Many people have been excited and eager to see how Xiaomi plans to overhaul the UI of the new version and if the features will make it more intuitive and fluid than MiUi.
Xiaomi is also going deeper into cross-product integration with the OS which is likely to be offered on other ecosystem products. For instance, Xiaomi says you can use the Xiaomi phone’s rear camera as a webcam for a Xiaomi laptop. There is also support for Dynamic Island-like features which hints at exciting things to come in the near future.
Xiaomi has announced the HyperOS developer version for a second batch of devices. This includes the Xiaomi 12 series, Xiaomi 12S series, Redmi K50 series, and a Xiaomi tablet. The devices will gain a new UI, some optimizations and features.
