Alcatel has launched its budget OneTouch Flash for Rs 9999. After officially announcing Alcatel OneTouch Flash in Thailand back in last September, now they bring it in India via Flipkart. As the smartphones with octa core chipsets are coming with tempting price tags, consumers are also attracted to this segment encouraging the makers to launch more such devices. The latest octa core device which has just hit the market is Alcatel OneTouch Flash.

A 1.4 GHz octa-core with chipset of MediaTek MT6592M powers the Alcatel OneTouch Flash. It comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat and also some little customized tweaks in User Interface. This device contains a removable a 3200 mAh battery. Primary storage for Alcatel OneTouch Flash is 8GB (5.1GB is user-accessible) and the device has a Micro SD card slot with 1 GB of RAM. On the camera front, it has a 13 MP, 4160×3120 pixels rear camera and 5 MP front snapper with features like auto focus, Geo-tagging, LED Flash, panoramic, HDR and face/smile detection. This device weighs 150 g with dimensions of 152.1×76.2×8.1 mm.
Performance:
Alcatel is the most recent company to join the club of selfie phone makers. We have seen many premium and mid segment smartphones being introduced with the selfie feature recently. Now smartphone manufacturers are bringing this feature into budget segment phones also. And apart from that we have seen many budget smartphone manufacturers coming up with cheap octa-core devices, the number of such offerings in the Indian market is on the rise. Alcatel is the most recent company to join the club of selfie phone makers. The Alcatel OneTouch Flash’s price at Rs 9999 appears to be pretty reasonable for an octa-core smartphone with decent specifications. The handset packs almost all the desired aspects to compete with the other octa-core smartphones in the same price bracket. The Alcatel OneTouch Flash has a 13 MP snapper at the rear with auto focus and LED flash for enhanced photography and support for recording FHD 1080p videos. The handset also carries a front facing 5 MP selfie snapper onboard for clicking stunning selfies and video conferencing as well to render a decent performance in its class. Keeping things juiced up in the Alcatel OneTouch Flash is a 3200 mAh battery which we think is pretty good for a device in this price range and it should be capable of pumping acceptable backup under moderate usage. The internal storage capacity of the smartphone stands at 8 GB that is standard for the pricing of the device but it supports expandable storage up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card.
