Asus released its new Asus Selfie smartphone dedicated specifically to taking selfies. The Selfie sports two 13 megapixel cameras on the rear and front of the phone. The back camera has a LED flash and laser autofocus that works as a personal spotlight. The front also has a LED flash, but no laser technology. The device will have a 5.5-inch full HD screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor.
The Zenfone Selfie will have a ‘beautification mode’ that automatically evens skin tones and hides blemishes, shadows and shard contrasts. It will also have a selfie button than can quickly activate the front camera and a ‘selfie mode’ to allow users to swipe an ‘S’ on the screen and pull up the camera. The device comes with a selfie swing, a case that works as shorter version of the selfie stick. It doubles up as a swing and an arm extender — it can also work as a case. The Zenfone Selfie was first launched as a prototype at the Computer trade show in Taiwan, but it will be released globally later in 2015.
