The Micromax Canvas Tab P690 that run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system, said to be upgradable to Android Lollipop version, has been launched with a price tag Rs 8999, as per reports. With an 8 inch IPS display that has 1280×800 pixels resolution, the tablet comes with a 1.83 GHz Intel quad core processor and 1 GB RAM. For storage, the device offers 8 GB of in-built memory and an expandable storage slot that can hold a 32 GB micro SD card at max. The Micromax Canvas Tab P690, powered by a 4000 mAh battery, claims to offer 180 hours of standby or 13.5 hours of 2G talktime.
The tablet has two cameras – a 2 megapixel fixed focus unit in the front and a 5 megapixel rear auto focus camera. The tablet, which comes in mettalic grey finish, has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. The Canvas Tab P690 has 3G connectivity and voice call support, but not clear whether it has one of two SIM slots.
