Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that provides telecom services under the brand MTS has partnered Corporate Disaster Resource Network (CDRN) created under the Corporate Task Force of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), to dispatch Relief Materials NDMA is headed by the Indian Prime Minister. On its part, MTS has sent relief kits for more than 100 families in the state.
According to Dmitry Shukov, CEO – MTS India, “This is a time of crisis, hundreds have lost their lives and many more have been left homeless. At MTS India, we have taken it as our duty to do our bit and support the relief efforts going on in the state of J&K. I complement CDRN’s efforts towards ensuring that the relief material gets collected, delivered and effectively utilised on ground”.
The relief kits being sent to J&K by CDRN will contain essentials including Dry Food Items, Water Purification Tablets, Blankets, and Tarpaulin Sheets amongst other things.
According to Kuldip Nar, Managing Director, Responsenet Development Services, “We are focusing all our energies to collect as much relief material as possible by talking to individuals, social groups and business organisations and send to the affected regions as quickly as possible. It is heartening to see that MTS India and a lot of other organisations have already contributed over INR 1 Crore worth of relief material that is set to benefit over 7500 individuals in the affected areas.”
