MTS India Partners With Responsenet

MTS to send out more than 9 million specially created SMSs to notify its subscribers in Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh (West) about the need to get their children immunized against these preventable diseases.

Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd. that provides telecom services under the brand MTS announced that the Company in partnership with Responsenet is making all efforts to make people aware about the need for timely immunization against diseases. MTS will be sending out specially created SMSs to all its customers across Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh West circles informing them about how and where they can get their children immunized. The SMS would read – “Apne bachche ko niyamit tikaakaran dilwayen aur janleva bimariyon se bachayen. Yeh sabhi sarkari swasthya kendron mein muft hai – Supported by MTS India”. In this awareness drive, MTS will be sending out more than 9 million SMSs to its customers starting 29th July 2014 till 31st July 2014.

According to Dmitry Shukov, Chief Executive Officer – MTS India, “We at MTS believe in growing our business in a socially responsible manner. As part of its commitment, our plan is to use the power of mobile technology to reach out to maximum number of people and notify them about the need for timely immunization and getting their child secure against diseases like Polio, Measles, Diptheria, Pertussis, Tuberculosis and Tetanus and other vaccine preventable diseases.”

MTS India has been associated with Responsenet for almost four years now; together the two partners have worked closely to address the Polio Eradication Awareness in the country through the India Unites To End Polio Now (IUEPN) program, an initiative implemented by Responsenet in partnership with UNICEF. which supports the Polio Eradication Programme in India, a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW),World Health Organization (WHO), National Polio Surveillance Project (NPSP), Rotary International, and the U.S. Centre for Disease Control (CDC).
