    Nikon Offers Indian Language Menu in Cameras

    Nikon India announced that Nikon cameras are now equipped with camera menu options in popular Indian languages namely Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and Bengali.  This new feature will enable photography enthusiasts develop an easier and quicker coordination with their equipment.

    The adoption of the language support in the menu is a great value-add to the users enabling them to be comfortable with the equipment and revel into photographic experience. At Nikon, we try to cater to the diverse needs of the consumers by consistently advancing our line-up with innovative and technologically superior cameras and adapting Indian language menu option is another step in this direction.

    Hiroshi Takashina, MD, Nikon India, said, “Nikon product offerings have competences to make you follow your creative instincts with a new world of intuitive features. With Nikon cameras in hand photographers can let their creativity shine through higher quality images and can bring the artistic vision to life.”

    He added, “As market leaders in imaging industry, we are committed to inspire our consumers to explore the potential of photography. The Indian language in camera menu is in-line with our mission of promoting photography culture in India and a testament to the conscious effort of refining our capabilities to create new value for the image taking process. With this functionality we are enabling consumers with greater ease of using the camera and utilizing the technical features. We are hopeful that the language support will help consumers become comfortable with their camera and enjoy photography.”

    Sajjan Kumar, Vice President – Imaging Division, Nikon India, said, “Nikon has been developing world-leading imaging technology for decades empowering photo enthusiasts around the world. Nikon is reaching out to its consumers at every possible opportunity be it strengthening & reinforcing outreach or launching initiatives to familiarize enthusiasts to photography and their camera systems through workshops. Inclusion of regional languages in the camera menu is yet another step from us to enable photo enthusiasts especially in the tier II and III markets. We have received very good response from our consumers especially from the southern part of the country.
