The report observes that Samsung is the oft-preferred brand followed by Micromax, Karbonn, Lava, Motorola, Apple, HTC, LG, Sony and other brands. In accordance with the report, Samsung holds the largest Smart phone vendor share in India i.e. 35%, as per the first quarter of 2014. It is followed by other brands (30%), Micromax (15%), Karbonn (10%), Lava (6%) and Nokia (4%). In quarter 2 of the same year however, other brands dominate the Smartphone Vendor Share by 34% followed by Samsung (29%), Micromax (18%), Karbonn (8%), lava (6%) and Motorola (5%).

As per the report, other top models that grabbed attention in 2014 include Lenovo Vibe Z, Moto G, Micromax Canvas Knight among many others.
