Snapdeal.com India’s largest online marketplace has appointed Vishal Chadha as the Vice President – Market Development. In his new role, Vishal will spearhead Snapdeal’s mission to reach out to and list a million businesses on the website. He will be responsible for furthering the company’s business development and seller marketing efforts, and will add even more firepower to the company’s ambitions of getting every Indian business to sell on the site.
He has successfully led functions and facilitated their growth from nascent categories to multi-billion dollar businesses in India and abroad. His experience spans verticals like strategy, sales and distribution, retail, marketing, competence development and business planning & processes.
An MBA from Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, Vishal has been a part of the sales and marketing success stories of brands like Nokia and Britannia, where he successfully led key business functions.
In his career spanning over 18 years, Vishal has held key positions at Nokia UK, where he was the Global Director heading multi brand retail marketing; Nokia India where he headed sales for their multimedia business group and Retail & Customer Marketing; and Britannia, where he was the Sales Head of the Western Region in India.
