Sunshine Telelink (The house of brands for URBAN, Inbase, Arrow, Willsun&iPak) just concluded its first edition of the event Melange by Sunshine with great success. The event saw a big leap by the company through their brand URBAN as they took a new direction with the introduction of premium Soundbars in their product assortment with their launch of the Harmonic series of Soundbars with Dolby Surround Sound. In the event, the company very clearly stated how all the brands under their portfolio meticulously target different segments. While URBAN was categorically built for premium and affluent categories targeting Tier 1, Inbase was there to reach Tier 2 & 3 with their personal audio and charging solutions. Arrow on the other hand was built for the acute price-sensitive market.
For the first time, Sunshine Telelink opened up to their partners on their growth plans and shared their journey of almost 15+ Years. On this occasion, Mr. Aashish Kumbhat, co-founder and director of the company said they are looking to grow at 2X pace from here on across all the brands stressing achieving a 10% market share of soundbars by 2027, looking to clock 15,000 units per month in the coming year. This indicates the importance of the category and the direction the brand intends to take. He also mentions the focus will be on developing sound completely built for Indian sensibility and audiences.
This transition was witnessed by around 150+ partners and the senior management team along with the founding directors from across the country. On asked about the new direction, one of the senior members said, “We are going very aggressive from this year and will focus on building the home audio and wireless hearable categories along with strengthening the smart wearable category, which has been the backbone of the brand URBAN. The audio will be customised for Indian needs and packed with high-tech features. Along with the Soundbars, URBAN has some very interesting new launches planned in the air conduction technology. The first Air Conduction Wireless Earphones were an instant hit and went out of stock within the first day of the launch. The soundbars also got a very welcoming response from the partners and we are hopeful, this category will be as big as our Smart Wearable category.
