The U.S-based tech giant InFocus recently launched its flagship smartphone M812. The InFocus M812 is the successor to the M810, which the company launched this July. Its latest flagship, the M812, launched this week along with two more handsets. For its flagship smartphone InFocus gives lots of attention on its design elements and specification. We got a chnace to review the new flagship from InFocus to see who competitive is this device compare to other smartphones in the market.
Features: Infocus M812 is a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 64-bit quad-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It comes in a metal unibody design and measures just 7.3mm thick. , the phone houses last years flagship chipset – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC which has a 2.5GHz quad-core processor which is paired with 3GB of RAM. The phone will come with 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded to 128GB using a microSD card. On the camera front, you get a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front facing camera. the front facing camera has an f/1.8 aperture. On the connectivity front, you get WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and GLONASS. There is a 2,900 mAh battery which is non-removable. InFocus M812 will come with a single-SIM configuration and can take in a 2G, 3G or 4G SIM card. With 4G card, it works with FDD-LTE (700/900/1800/2100/2600MHz) as well as TDD-LTE (2500 / 2600MHz) bands.
Look and feel: The successor to the M810 InFocus M812 is an unibody aluminium design which is very different from glass back of the M810. And for this the M812 looks very very premium and feels sturdy. Look and feel of this device is very much iPhoneish. Many will address this as an iPhone lookalike device. Though some key elements that makes the 812 look different from iPhone is that its has added some design elements such as a novelty 4G logo on the back, and positioned the camera module in the center. This phone is bit bulky and will not fit in your pocket easily. But the plus point is that it gives solid grip and will not slip from your hand. Overall the build quality and finish is very good.
Performance: The M812 has been provided with good hardware for trouble free performance, display provide sharp and bright images. Its Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM gives you impressive experience. The call quality is good on this phone, its 2900 mAh battery which comes with a quick charging gives almost 10hrs of life with regular usage. The 13-megapixel rear camera provided on this phone provides reasonable quality of clicked images, with decent depth and detail and look crisp. InFocus M812 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with InLife UI 2.0 and preloaded with apps like Snapdeal, Mobile Assistant, Weather Forecast,App traffic control and FM radio etc.
