A Full HD smartphone from Comio expected next week

COMIO from China’s Topwise Communications is all set to launch another budget device around its sub 10k category this month.

This year they have already launched S1 Lite and C2 Lite, according to sources the new device from Comio will be featuring a FHD screen and dual- camera and run on latest Android. With this device they have big expansion plan for East and South India, where they are now focusing after North India.

Currently, Comio is getting their products manufactured from third party contract manufacturer, thereby, supporting ‘Make in India’ through local manufacturing, the company caters to the highest growing group (mid-level segment) priced from Rs 6,000 to Rs 12,000. By 2018-19, Comio is expecting 10 per cent market share in the mid-segment category in the Indian mobile market.

Comio will invest Rs 250 crore in marketing, another Rs 150 crore in R&D and manufacturing, and Rs 100 crore for sales and distribution in the Indian mobile phone market till December 2018. The company further has plans of starting its own facility in 2018 itself.
