HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, has launched a new phone focused heavily on sustainability and longevity called Nokia G42 5G. Repairability factor aside, the Nokia G42 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480 Plus 5G processor and comes in 4+128 GB and 6+128 GB memory configurations. The camera setup comprises a 50 MP primary, 2 MP depth, and 2 MP macro sensors. For selfies, the phone features an 8MP sensor upfront.
The LCD display is sized 6.56 inches, has a 720 x 1612 resolution, and is protected by Gorilla Glass. The 5,000mAh battery has been promised to last 3 days, with Nokia claiming it’ll keep 80% of its original capacity after 800 full charging cycles – that’s about four years of charges.
