With the world staying at home to be safe, people have limited options to stay fit as well as track their fitness. As people are spending more time indoors, underpinning the importance of health and wellbeing is vital. On World Health Day, HONOR, the leading tech brand for global youth, highlights on how one can adopt a healthy living even when at home.

It is essential to maintain a healthy lifestyle including proper diet, sleep and exercise. A fit body, a calm mind, and a house full of optimism is all one needs, especially in the ongoing circumstances. Those who own smartwatches and fitness trackers know how invaluable they are in the current times. They are equipped with modern day technology that has given way for several smart features that help users keep a check on their fitness and health. The smart devices can auto detect various activities for the users including indoor activities such as walking, jogging and running at home or on the treadmill, indoor cycling, elliptical, rowing, free hand and yoga among other exercises. Setting targets and measuring number of steps, distance, speed, calories burnt, etc. are easier now, thanks to the smartwatches and smart bands. Moreover, these devices help in monitoring sleep, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation and stress with just a click.

HONOR MagicWatch 2, HONOR Band 5i and HONOR Band 5 are among the top wearables, which can help you be more aware of your health and recommend ways to improve it further.

    Motivation

Lack of Motivation is one of the biggest hurdles when it comes to anyone’s fitness journeys. With the HONOR wearables, users get visual reminders to stand up and stretch on a regular basis. The HONOR MagicWatch 2 also has a virtual running coach that aims to push, inspire and motivate users when they are working out at home. Seeing data such as step counts, workout time, distance, stride frequency, speed and calories burnt often encourages people to keep moving forward to reach their goals, as they are able to quantify their progress leading to greater sense of satisfaction. Healthy heart rate, stress levels and sound sleep helps users feel fresh, healthy and motivated to follow their fitness regime and improve their lifestyle.

SpO2 (Blood Oxygen Saturation) Detection feature

With HONOR being the first company in India to introduce SpO2 into its fitness bands, namely HONOR Band 5 and HONOR Band 5i, the feature allows the users to track the oxygen saturation level in their blood to keep a better check of their health and fitness.

How does it helps? The oxygen levels in the blood decreases after exercise or physical exertions, whether planned or unplanned. The SpO2 feature helps detect the blood oxygen levels. Taking a cue from the blood oxygen saturation level individual can choose to rest or do some breathing exercises to get the blood oxygen level back to normal levels. Additionally, the SpO2 feature enables users to understand how their body is adapting and adjusting to the workouts, sleep cycles and environmental change.

As a medical standard, the reading of blood oxygen saturation level in a healthy individual should be anywhere above 90 percent, while the same below 90 percent is alarming and may require medical care.

    Effective Sleep Tracking

Getting enough sleep is important to promote a healthy lifestyle. Sleep helps repair muscles, rest the body, and maintain a good mood. When an individual has to adapt to a new routine or setting, the HONOR Wearables can help them with scheduling their sleep. The HUAWEI TruSleep™ technology in these smart devices can track and diagnose 6 common types of sleep disorders. With 200+ personalized sleep quality assessment, it provides suggestions for sounder and healthier sleep. One can use the Huawei health app to see the sleep score with the break-down of – Deep sleep, light sleep and REM, along with tips and tricks to enhance ones sleep quality and improve the sleep pattern.

Precision in 24×7 Heart Rate Monitoring

Enabled by HUAWEI TruSeen™ technology, the wearables keep an eye on the user’s active and resting heart rate and sends an alert when it goes above or below normal levels. This helps in a better understanding of the impact of different workout performance. Depending on the users’ heart rate, their body can enter different performance areas – Extreme, Anaerobic, Aerobic, Fat-burning and warm-up/cool down, understanding how different exercises impact this is important.

HONOR MagicWatch 2 additionally features HUAWEI TruRelax™ technology which can also detect the user’s stress level and suggest breathing exercises to ease the stress level.
