During an exclusive interaction with Mobility Magazine, Mr. Santosh, Sales Head, Nyork, shares his insights about the Nyork’s expansion plans, focus on smartwatches and rapid chargers, optimistic market reception, strategic positioning, and customer support policies.
Please brief us about Nyork.
Nyork has an impressive 11 years of presence across 14 countries, particularly in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) and Far East regions. The distribution operation of Nyork in India is in the safe hands of Ashcom Mobiles Pvt Ltd. With a robust setup in Mumbai, including an experience center, Ashcom could ensure a dominant position to Nyork in South Indian market during the last three years. In 2024, the company is ambitiously targeting a milestone of crossing 100 Cr sales by expanding its distribution network across the nation, including North India. Nyork specializes in airpods, smartwatches, mobile accessories, and top-tier Apple batteries. The recent introduction of 65W GaN chargers from Nyork has garnered very positive customer response.
What is your focus for 2024?
Nyork has been incepted with the mission of bringing quality technology to every user, with a product portfolio entailing a wide range of stylish consumer electronics. In 2024, we are geared up to make significant strides in providing cutting-edge smartwatches and chargers. Considering the today’s fast-paced life, we are introducing rapid chargers that ensure full charging in less than 40 minutes for mobile devices and laptops. Nyork is focusing on becoming a leader in the rapid charging space with a wide range of solutions for a variety of devices.
What opportunities do you see in the Indian market?
The overwhelming response for our products in North India has been instrumental for us. The response from the B2B platform is also promising. We want to expand our distribution network in North India significantly in 2024.
How do you position yourself in the market?
Our strategic focus lies on the mid-segment, striking a balance between affordability and quality. Catering to diverse demographics, we assure comprehensive warranty support, reinforcing our commitment to customer satisfaction. Upholding our motto, we ensure customers receive value, both in terms of quality and warranty assurance.
What are your customer support policies?
Our service setup is streamlined through our distributors, eliminating unnecessary complications that involve while employing with third parties. Operating through our own channels ensures higher efficiency and seamless customer experience.
What message would you like to give to your customers and partners?
I earnestly appeal to all the Indian customers and partners to extend the same familiarity and support we’ve received for over 11 years in the GCC in India too which is our home country. As we unveil Made in India products, India customers’ continued support is crucial for our journey of contributing to India’s progress and success.
