Stuffcool has positioned itself as India’s leading tech accessory brand, with a wide range of accessories. During an interaction with Mobility Magazine, Mr. Hemang Budhdeo, Founder and Director of Stuffcool, elaborates his journey, the various tech products of the company, policy and the road envisaged.
What has been the inspiring factor for you to come up with Stuffcool
For several reasons, India has remained a dumping ground for low-quality tech products and accessories. There is a huge Indian population who are looking for top quality international products at an affordable price. We at Stuffcool are doing just that.
Stuffcool was launched purely to make quality accessories that enhance, enrich our consumers’ lives – without breaking the bank. Stuffcool launched with 6 categories featuring Cases, Screen Protectors, Cables, Chargers, Car Mounts (Enhancements) and Sleeves
Discuss the diverse tech products and how have you been able to keep at pace with evolving trends.
Stuffcool focuses on Power Accessories namely Chargers, Power Banks (portable chargers), and Cables which help the consumer to remain stay connected (to their device) with the outside world and social media at all times. Consumers wanted fast charging solutions and thus we introduced India’s first Power Delivery Power Bank in 2018 and PD wall chargers in 2019. When consumers wanted more power in small sizes, we introduced India’s first GaN charger in 2020. Consumers started carrying more than one tech gadget with them and so we introduced India’s first 100W Desktop charger in 2021. In 2023, Apple introduced Magnetic wireless charging with iPhone 12 and we introduced India’s first Magnetic wireless power bank. It is the sheer focus on solving in consumers’ ever changing needs, we at Stuffcool are able to provide with unique products and we shall continue to do so.
What is the scope of chargers in India?
In 2022, Apple removed in-box chargers from the iPhone 12 and this move was followed by many other brands like Samsung, Pixel etc. Not only this, consumers now have more than 2-3 devices like smartphones, tablets, Smartwatches, and TWS and their need for charging is increasing – they need to charge at home, office, in the car and while they are on the move. It is estimated that India has already around 650 million smartphone customers which is ever-growing. Thus potential for charging accessories is huge.
How do you feel about manufacturing opportunities?
It is the right time to focus on manufacturing in-house, and we are setting up the additional base for us.
Our Vision is to make quality tech products that enrich our average consumers’ life and our designed specially for India, at a sweet Indian price. Before there was Make In India, we always Made For India. “
What has been your channel strategy?
We believe in the Omni channel sales strategy and will be available at all channels. By 2011, Nissan Enterprises Limited was a National Player featuring about 35 distributors pan-India under them distributing quality smartphone accessories to almost 2000+ retail touch points across the Country.
How do you plan to run the company in the next 5 years – the innovations etc?
We have been in the Consumer Electronics Industry space since 1981. Earlier we used to be the Original Equipment Manufacturers for many reputed CE brands like Bush, Philips, Onida. We then represented an international brand, Capdase, in India and distributed their accessories across India. We were the first Company in India to start distributing the Accessories in an Organised Manner. And then we launched Stuffcool keeping in mind the want of the Indian consumer to have a top quality product, latest products at an affordable price. This vision to be the first to launch the Innovative product at affordable rates will continue as our navigator for the years to come.
