Redmi Note 5 Pro is the latest Xiaomi smartphone that has received a price cut after the Mi A2 saw the price drop, as per reports. Also, the Chinese company announced that the Redmi 5 series surpassed one crore units of sale since being launched in India. Notably, the Redmi Note 5 series include – both the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 smartphones. The new price cut for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is now applicable across platforms and channels including Mi.com, Flipkart, Amazon, and offline stores including Mi Home stores.
With the latest price drop, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro will now be available in India at a starting price of Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model while the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage model is priced at Rs. 13,999. Xiaomi claims that the Redmi Note 5 Pro is available with up to Rs. 4,000 off when the MRP is taken into consideration. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is now available in India at Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB RAM model, Rs. 3,000 below earlier the MRP while the 6GB RAM model is available at Rs. 13,999 down from MRP of Rs. 17,999.
Notably, this is the second price cut in less than two months as Redmi Note 5 Pro received a price cut in November and was retailing at Rs. 13,999. The Redmi Note 5 Pro was launched in February last year at a starting price of Rs. 13,999. However, the smartphone saw a price rise.
