Please brief us about your brand and journey.

Since our brand’s inception in 2018, our primary emphasis was on offline retail, specifically in the realm of smartphone-connected products, such as smart accessories and audio devices. Gizmore was debuted with a focus on audio products like neckbands, TWS, and earphones, along with venturing into the Home Audio speaker category. Our initial goal was to establish an extensive distribution network across India, ensuring the availability of Gizmore products in retail outlets and even remote villages. The core idea was to bring quality international technology to India at an affordable price. Over the past 6 years, Gizmore has evolved into a reputable brand, thriving in a competitive market. We’ve successfully penetrated North and West India, reaching almost every district, fostering direct connections with our channel partners. With a commitment to sales and service support, we boast over 350 service centers nationwide, ensuring prompt resolution through our toll-free helpline within seven days of registration.

What will be your focus for 2024?

Our primary strategy revolves around strengthening our network of retailers, distributors, and partners to enhance the accessibility of Gizmore products in the market. While we’ve established robust partnerships in North and West India, our current initiative involves extending our reach to East and South India, ensuring a nationwide presence. Throughout our journey, we’ve excelled in wearables, particularly smartwatches, and garnered success in the headphones and TWS categories. A pivotal focus lies in the home audio segment, encompassing diverse speakers such as tower speakers, portable speakers, and soundbars for TV integration. In the upcoming year, our goal is to have our complete home audio range available in all retail stores, appointing dedicated channel partners for the electronics category to facilitate widespread availability.

Distinguishing itself as a channel-friendly brand, Gizmore prioritizes offline retail to bring quality products at competitive prices with superior support. Despite the prevalence of online competitors, our vision is clear – to offer Gizmore products offline with the same affordability and support as online platforms. Looking ahead, our one-year plan involves a concentrated effort on offline retail, an emphasis on the audio category, and the introduction of cutting-edge technology to compete effectively with online alternatives.

What is the latest technology coming to the market?

Delving into various industries, the landscape of technology, especially in the realm of 1-inch technology, is witnessing a dynamic influx of innovations. Notably, technological advancements are not only prolific but are also maturing rapidly. What was once considered a benchmark quality at a Rs. 1000 price point is now accessible at Rs. 500, showcasing the affordability of cutting-edge chipsets, sensors, and technology. The evolution is striking, presenting consumers with the latest features at budget-friendly prices.

Taking the example of TWS, exemplified by our recent Elite launch, the product boasts an impressive 50-hour battery backup, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) functionality, and a Gaming Mode. Such advanced features are now readily available in the market at reasonable price points. This product includes notable elements like Gaming Mode, ANC, cooling clarity, DNS features, and efficient battery backup, aligning lifestyle products with the rapid pace of advancements seen in mobile technology.

Similarly, in the smartwatch domain, the integration of AI and advanced sensors provides users with a seamless experience that aids in daily routines. The speaker category too has witnessed remarkable progress with high-voltage and party speakers featuring exceptional UHF mics, superior sensors and an impressive voice quality that captures signals effectively from a distance. Across segments, the industry is not only evolving but also achieving stability in pricing, ensuring that customers benefit from swift technological progress by gaining access to superior quality products at affordable prices.

What is the policy for partners to join?

Addressing the primary concerns of our partners, stability, long-term commitment, favorable margins, and reliable after-sales support, Gizmore stands as a formidable brand that has surpassed the five-year milestone. With an established presence in the market, we offer competitive margins to both our distributors and retail partners, ensuring their financial satisfaction. The cornerstone of our commitment lies in after-sales support, exemplified by our extensive network of over 350 service centers across the nation. Operating on a toll-free helpline, our on-site assistance and dedicated pan-India service team reflect our hands-on approach to customer care. Smartwatches, TWS (earbuds), and wearable technology have emerged as significant segments within this dynamic landscape. Earlier limited to chargers, earphones, and cables, accessories have now evolved into robust categories like wearables, neckbands, earbuds and portable speakers. The industry’s valuation has skyrocketed to Rs 20,000-30,000 crores, reflecting the substantial growth and diversification. Notably, accessories companies are achieving impressive turnovers and expanding into international markets. This thriving industry, continually infused with innovation, anticipates a future marked by sustained growth and a constant influx of new technological advancements.

What are the main challenges in the market?

The market, marked by rapid growth and intense competition, poses challenges, especially with a multitude of players. As technology evolves, prices fluctuate, but I anticipate stability over time. The industry is set to mature, and only committed players will endure. Despite current challenges, I foresee a future where stable brands thrive, and as the industry matures, serious players will sustain and prosper in the long-term.

What message would you like to give to partners and associates? For newcomers entering the business, my advice is to eschew comparisons with others and focus on your ability to make a meaningful contribution. Whether in this industry or any other, embark on the journey if you genuinely believe in your capacity to contribute and endure challenges for the long term. Drawing from our 20 years of experience, perseverance is key in weathering the highs and lows. Over the past 5 years, we navigated challenges, made informed decisions, and emerged successfully. Stamina is paramount, be it as a distributor or a brand. Recognize the industry’s inherent volatility, comprehend the tough conditions, and cultivate the stability needed to navigate through price fluctuations. Lastly, identify serious and committed players, be they distributors or brands, and invest in fostering enduring partnerships.
