Chhattisgarh State is Fast Emerging as a Potential Manufacturing Hub

This issue’s focus is on Chhattisgarh which is an emerging manufacturing hub. In the past four years, the state has received investment proposals of more than INR 90,000 crores and capital investment of INR 4126 crores for establishing new units. It is ranked 3rd among the states with the lowest unemployment rate.
The Chhattisgarh government has signed two MoUs (Memoranda of Understand[1]ings) at the Chhattisgarh Business Summit 2022 at the India International Trade Fair-2022 in New Delhi. An MoU has been signed between the state government and Rajesh Gautam of NKJ Biofuel, Durg, for setting up an ethanol production plant in the cooperative sector with an investment of Rs 140 crore, while another MoU was inked with Manish Bajpai of Day Best Research Private Ltd. for setting up 4500 drone and UAV manufacturing units with an investment of Rs 50.95 crore.
