Nikon India recently completed a milestone of 10 years’ presence in India, inaugurated the Nikon photo contest exhibition today at All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society, 1, Rafi Marg, Delhi. The exhibition was inaugurated by Kazuo Ninomiya, Managing Director, Nikon India and Sajjan Kumar, Sr. Vice President – Corporate Sales and Strategy, Nikon India and the event was graced by renowned photographer Padmashree Raghu Rai. The exhibition is being held between 3rd November to 16th November 2017 at Delhi. Started in the year 1969, the Nikon Photo Contest is one of the world’s premier international photo contests witnessing immense participation from many nationalities.
Nikon Contest is a platform that not only showcases some of the finest works from across several countries but also mirrors the changing dynamics of the world, captured through lens. This Photo Contest offers a lucrative stage for photographers across world to display their work globally. Given the varied landscapes, magnificent architecture, extravagant weddings and varied festive seasons, India provides the right blend of opportunities for photographers.
This year the Nikon Photo contest was a tremendous success with 6 winners from India itself. The judges’ panel included prestigious names such as Neville Brody, CEO Brody Associates/Dean of the School of Communication at the Royal College of Art (RCA), renowned wedding photographer Marcus Bell and the celebrated Indian Fine Arts Photographer, Bharat Sikka. The various categories included in the contest were Nikon 100th Anniversary Award, Next Generation Award as well as The Open Award.
At the inauguration of the exhibition, Kazuo Ninomiya, Managing Director, Nikon India Pvt. Nikon Photo Contest, one of the world’s largest international photo contests
Nikon Photo Contest is an international photo contest with a significant history behind it. The goal of the Contest is to provide an opportunity for photographers around the world to communicate and to enrich photographic culture for professionals and amateurs alike.
